Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) released the following statement welcoming Cleveland County Sheriff Alan Norman to the Republican Party. Sheriff Norman announced his registration change today.
“I am thrilled to welcome Sheriff Norman to the Republican Party. I have known Sheriff Norman for many years and he has always been a conservative man of the utmost character and integrity. It is no surprise that–like so many others–Sheriff Norman believes today’s radical Democrat Party no longer represents his values,” said McHenry.
“Now in his third term as Sheriff, Alan Norman has been a respected leader in law enforcement for more than 30 years and he has worked diligently to keep Cleveland County safe. I am grateful for his service to our community and it is an honor to work with him. Welcoming a leader of his caliber is truly an exciting day for our party.”
Congressman Patrick McHenry represents the 10th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, which includes Cleveland County.
