McHenry to Seek Reelection in Renumbered NC12

Serving in Washington as a voice for North Carolina is a tremendous honor and an even greater responsibility. While I have accomplished a great deal during my time in Congress, I recognize that the Biden Administration is leading our country down a devastating path towards socialism and we need strong, conservative leadership to stop it. That is why I plan to run for reelection in my home district, the newly renumbered Twelfth Congressional District. While the district number may have changed, the values and the good people remain the same.

Under the new lines passed by the North Carolina General Assembly today, my home in Lincoln County is now in the Twelfth Congressional District which also includes much of the area I currently represent. I am thankful for the opportunity to continue to represent the people of Catawba, Forsyth, Iredell, Lincoln, and Yadkin Counties. I look forward to getting to know more constituents in Forsyth County as the district now incorporates the entire county, including all of Winston-Salem, a leader in education, healthcare, and innovation.

While I am excited about the opportunity to continue working for you in Congress,  I am sad that at the end of next year, I will no longer represent so many friends. It is a privilege to represent so many wonderful people in Rockingham, Stokes, and Surry Counties, as well as southern Iredell County. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to serve you.

Our country is under attack from woke leftists and Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are letting it happen. But as evidenced by the election results Tuesday, Americans across the country have had enough and we are taking our country back. With conservative leadership in Congress, we can return our country to the prosperity we enjoyed during the Trump Administration. Over the next year, I look forward to making the case why I’m the best person to serve as the Twelfth District’s conservative voice in Washington.
