We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country. North Carolina has a long and proud tradition of military service, and providing for veterans is a top priority for Patrick.
One of his first accomplishments upon being elected was to call the Secretary of Veterans Affairs into his office to get answers why a long-planned VA medical clinic in Hickory was still not open. Patrick’s letters, questions and continued pressure got the center opened, and it is now utilized by veterans across the region. Patrick is proud of his work helping veterans get missing service medals and navigate the VA bureaucracy.
